ID Requirements for Marriage

To get married, we need to sight the right documents.

Usually, that means

  • a current passport, or
  • a birth certificate plus photo ID

We also need proof of date and place of birth.

If you were married before

You also need evidence that the earlier marriage ended, such as:

  • a divorce order
  • or a death certificate

If your documents are not in English

You will need a proper translation.
