No. Sydney Marriage Office is a private celebrant service. We provide a registry-style option, but we are not the NSW Registry.
Yes. It is a fully legal Australian marriage as long as the paperwork, legal words, signatures, witnesses, and registration are all done properly.
Three fixed prices: Paperwork Only is $780, the Elopement Ceremony is $1,800, and the Wedding Package is $2,200. Optional extras such as witness help are listed on the pricing page.
Your choice. Paperwork Only is the legal marriage with no ceremony production – just the legal words and signing. The Elopement Ceremony adds a short, personal ceremony. The Wedding Package is a full, personalised ceremony for your guests.
Book online, choose your package, and pay the fee. Then prepare your NOIM and supporting documents, and we confirm the date, time, and place.
After we receive the paperwork. The appointment depends on when the NOIM arrives and our availability.
Usually your NOIM must be given at least one calendar month before the marriage. You can prepare the form with NOIM Easy.
No. The marriage itself must happen in person with both parties, the celebrant, and two adult witnesses physically present. Read why.
Yes. You need two witnesses aged 18 or over. If you need help with that, witness help is $130 for the paperwork-only service.
