Who we are

Sydney Marriage Office is a private celebrant service for paperwork-only marriages in Sydney.

We are not a government service.

The information on this website is general information only.

It is written to help you understand the process, but it is not legal advice.

Booking the service

The normal process is:

  1. you click Get Married
  2. you fill out the booking form
  3. you pay the fee
  4. you prepare the NOIM and supporting paperwork
  5. once we receive the paperwork, we confirm the date, time, and place subject to availability

A preferred date is not locked in just because you enquire or pay.

You are responsible for giving accurate information and providing the documents needed for a lawful marriage.

We may refuse, delay, or cancel a booking if:

  • the legal requirements are not met
  • the paperwork is incomplete
  • the information given is false or misleading
  • the requested service is outside the scope of this paperwork-only site

Fees and extras

Our current fee and any optional extras are shown on the site or during booking.

Any extra costs, such as witness help or travel, will be made clear before you proceed.

Outside services

This site is not for full weddings or elopements.

Where we link to outside providers such as Josh Withers, The Elopement Collective, NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages, or Australian Marriage Offices, their services and terms are their own.
