Who this suits
Couples who want more than a signing but less than a wedding. It is for two people, or a handful of your closest people, somewhere beautiful in Sydney – without the venue, the catering bill, or the months of planning.
Choose the Elopement Ceremony, pick your preferred date and location, and pay online. It takes a few minutes.
Step 2
Lodge your NOIM
We help you complete the Notice of Intended Marriage. It must reach us at least one calendar month before the date.
Step 3
Shape your ceremony
A short, personal ceremony written around your story. Write your own vows or use ours – we help either way.
Step 4
Elope
Meet us at your spot. Bring two adult witnesses, or we supply them if it is just the two of you. Ceremony, vows, signing, done.
Sydney elopement FAQs
How much does it cost to elope in Sydney?
Our Elopement Ceremony is $1,800. That covers the authorised celebrant, a planning call, a personalised ceremony, vow help, witnesses if you need them, the legal paperwork, and lodgement. Your other costs are optional: a photographer, any location permit, flowers, and lunch. If you only want the legal marriage, Paperwork Only is $780.
Do we need witnesses to elope?
Yes. Australian law requires two witnesses aged 18 or over. Many couples use their photographer and one friend. If it is truly just the two of you, the Elopement Ceremony includes two witnesses at no extra cost.
Do we need a permit for a Sydney park or beach?
Often, yes. Many City of Sydney, council, Royal Botanic Garden, Centennial Park, and National Parks locations require a booking or permit for ceremonies. Permit fees are paid to the land manager and are not included in the package. Our Sydney venues guide has more.
What is the difference between this and the Wedding Package?
The Elopement Ceremony is short and intimate, for the two of you or a handful of people. The Wedding Package ($2,200) adds a planning session and a full ceremony for your family and friends.
Is an elopement a legal marriage?
Yes. As long as the NOIM, legal words, witnesses, and signing are done properly, an elopement is a fully legal Australian marriage. We lodge it with NSW Births, Deaths and Marriages afterwards.
