Who this suits

Couples having a wedding with family and friends who want the ceremony to be the best part of the day – and want a professional, organised celebrant without paying premium Sydney prices.

Keeping it tiny? The Elopement Ceremony is $1,800. Just need it legal? Paperwork Only is $780.

Why the ceremony is the right place to spend

When couples look for a cheap wedding in Sydney, the ceremony is often the first thing they try to cut. It is usually the wrong thing to cut. It is the only part of the day that is actually a wedding, and it is the part your guests remember. The savings are almost always in the venue, the guest list, the catering, and the hours of coverage – not the twenty-five minutes where you get married.

The Wedding Package keeps the ceremony at a sensible, fixed price so you can put your money where it matters to you. Pair it with a simple Sydney venue, a short-coverage photographer, and a long lunch, and you have a real wedding for a fraction of the average spend. Our guide to choosing a Sydney celebrant covers what to ask any celebrant, including us.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Book online

Choose the Wedding Package, pick your date and venue, and pay online. It takes a few minutes.

  2. Step 2

    Lodge your NOIM

We help you complete the Notice of Intended Marriage. It must reach us at least one calendar month before the wedding.

  3. Step 3

    Plan the ceremony together

Up to two planning meetings to hear your story and decide on vows, readings, rituals, and who is involved. Then we write it.

  4. Step 4

    Approve your script

You read the ceremony before the day and tell us what to change. Nothing on the day is a surprise.

  5. Step 5

    Get married

After a rehearsal at your venue, we run the ceremony with a PA and wireless mics, handle the signing table and legal words, and lodge it afterwards.

Sydney wedding celebrant FAQs

How much does a wedding celebrant cost in Sydney?

Our Wedding Package is $2,200. That is a fully personalised ceremony with up to two planning meetings, a custom script you approve, a rehearsal, a PA system with wireless microphones, a signing table and chairs, the legal paperwork, and lodgement. Smaller options start at $780 for Paperwork Only and $1,800 for an Elopement Ceremony.

Where can we hold the ceremony?

Anywhere lawful and safe in Sydney: your reception venue, a garden, a harbourside park, a restaurant, or a family home. Many public parks need a permit from the council or land manager, and permit fees are not included. See our Sydney venues guide.

Can we write our own vows or include family?

Yes. The Wedding Package is built for that. We help with your vows and build in readings, rituals, and the people you want involved.

Can a friend be part of the ceremony?

Yes. A friend can do a reading or share a story. They cannot perform the legal part unless they are an authorised celebrant. Read can a friend marry us?

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can for Saturdays in spring and autumn. Legally, the NOIM must be lodged at least one month before the wedding. Read the NOIM guide.

Is this cheaper than a typical Sydney wedding?

The ceremony is only one part of a wedding budget. See our affordable weddings in Sydney guide for how couples keep the rest of the day under control.
